Retired physician and air taxi operator, science writer and part time assistant professor, these editorials cover a wide range of topics. Mostly non political, mostly true, I write more from a lifetime of experience and from research, more science than convention. Subjects cover medicine, Alaska aviation, economics, technology and an occasional book review. Globalization or Democracy documents the historical roots of Oligarchy, the road to colonialism and tyranny

Quantum Trickery: Testing Einstein's Strangest Theory - New York Times

Quantum Trickery: Testing Einstein's Strangest Theory - New York Times

Better not let the phone company get wind of these entanglement experiments. They will charge us $50 per month weather the cat lives or dies, but if the cat lives, that will be an additional $.75 per minute. If you cancel, however it will be a year's charges for illegal cancellation of a "cat state."

Seriously the article fairly well boxes in the quantum quandary with a tribute to Einstein's genius and the spooky phenomena of entanglement --- a must read --- if only to hear what a dead cat, the phone company and quantum mechanics have in common.
