Homer has its share of eccentrics. When I moved here in ’93, I met an energetic articulate guy at the coffee shop who claimed to live in a tree-house. It was not until years later that our paths crossed again. He turned out to be a physics professor who was intrigued by the mathematics of design in creating various egg shaped geodesics. Yes, they are constructed in the trees on his property. He is running out of trees. We all contribute in our own way and James’s contribution seems exotic. Diane and I had tea with James in one of his tree houses last year; it was quite warm in the winter sun.
