If the Mormon church can excuminicate John Dehlin for blogging and apostasy, why can't Muslims excuminacate terrorists for mass murder and apostasy. From Greek, to revolt from, apo + histasthai, a total departure from one's religion, principals or party cause.
The question is, which ones are the apostate and which are the religion. When young unemployed migrants cheer on their terrorist brothers secretly behind closed doors, one wonders if the moderate peaceful Muslims are not in fact the splinter group. If indeed the moderates are the vast majority as claimed, why did they leave? Why did they not define mass murder as evil and inforced their very own laws with justice rather than fleeing?
Freedom of religion yes, tolerance yes, but when is it religion and when is it nationalistic, fascist, terrorist aggression? Is it not time for moderate Muslims to choose sides and to demonstrate their choice visibly and definitively.
