Hughesair (Inflection Point)

Retired physician and air taxi operator, science writer and part time assistant professor, these editorials cover a wide range of topics. Mostly non political, mostly true, I write more from a lifetime of experience and from research, more science than convention. Subjects cover medicine, Alaska aviation, economics, technology and an occasional book review. Farmer’s Revolt

Wasting our farmers with fuel costs and nitrogen restrictions resembles the loss of the farmer class in 18th century England due not to the individual revolution but to imperial England’s own globalization's under the guise of colonialism. We fought hard to free our country from the shackles of globalism then and we must renew the struggle. The loss of our middle class now as back then leads to tyranny
