Mind Control Media (MCM)
Which is the higher order of good, reassuring the public that the election was honest, or exploring the possibility that the election was rigged or that nefarious agents stuffed the ballot boxes? Is there a smoking thumb drive? Does a journalist have a moral obligation to explore the truth or assure the peaceful transition of a dialectic that the journalist believes to be the morally superior outcome?
Existentialism holds that existence is always particular and individual. At the heart of modern day journalism, existentialism defines the news according to the reality of the reporter’s belief system, a framework derived from decades of education, political correctness and group think.
Truth in this case, however, will be decided in the courts by a journey of our pears, a judge, the Supreme Count and maybe by a few forensic accountants. That judgment will be existential too and may contradict popular belief of one side or another; it may support or contradict the mind control media. The trust in whatever outcome rests with our Constitution.
The only real threat comes from disinformation and foreign subversion, propaganda widely propagated by Chinese espionage. Nothing new, we experienced the same from Russia and before WW2 from Germany, totalitarianism in the guise of socialism. We’ll see what happens.
