Hughesair (Inflection Point)

Retired physician and air taxi operator, science writer and part time assistant professor, these editorials cover a wide range of topics. Mostly non political, mostly true, I write more from a lifetime of experience and from research, more science than convention. Subjects cover medicine, Alaska aviation, economics, technology and an occasional book review. Globalization or Democracy documents the historical roots of Oligarchy, the road to colonialism and tyranny

Liquidity

Market liquidity correlates with Treasury Department revenue as reported in the Daily Treasury Statement. Revenue as of July 7th amounts to 1.463 trillion, 8.7% greater than last year. The National Debt is up 7.8%. That’s a thin edge of improvement but it seems to be growing. What do I know? I think the liquidity is reflected in increased employment and may well be reflected in the stock market this next week. Snow says the increased revenue has reduced the budget deficit.
