The Age of entanglement by Louisa Gilder

I just finished reading Louisa Gilders first book The Age of Entanglement - when quantum physics was reborn. This story starts with the discussions between Albert Einstein and Niels Bore and ends with the present day promise of quantum computing. In 1935 Einstein dubbed this correlation - which became known as entanglement - as "spooky action at a distance."

This story comes to life with conversations and the antics of physicists and students to an extent that one gets to know them and the author as one. The read is intelligent on a fascinating subject that has far reaching implications for understanding the reality of our world, for computer technology and what lies beyond.

I've put this one on my library shelf next to my prized History of Physics by Einstein himself. The story is understandable by non physicists. It has only one equation, a little one, yet is technically accurate with deep understanding from this young author, Dartmouth college 2000. The link above will take you to a favorable review in Nature Magazine.
