Hughesair (Inflection Point)

Retired physician and air taxi operator, science writer and part time assistant professor, these editorials cover a wide range of topics. Mostly non political, mostly true, I write more from a lifetime of experience and from research, more science than convention. Subjects cover medicine, Alaska aviation, economics, technology and an occasional book review. Globalization or Democracy documents the historical roots of Oligarchy, the road to colonialism and tyranny

Katherine Jenkins

Rotary.org: The Rotarian If Western Civilization has a sole, this young lady exposes it. "If music be the food of love--" We are seeing the last gasp of a failed industrial age with its degenerate behavior: drugs, baggy pants, gangs and in your face super stars killing themselves and us with their defiant greed. Katherine heralds a new civility and culture; hopefully it will accompany a technological revolution and a new beginning. Katherine the Great hints of a positive future. You can see it in the smiles of these British troops.
