Hughesair (Inflection Point)

Retired physician and air taxi operator, science writer and part time assistant professor, these editorials cover a wide range of topics. Mostly non political, mostly true, I write more from a lifetime of experience and from research, more science than convention. Subjects cover medicine, Alaska aviation, economics, technology and an occasional book review. Globalization or Democracy documents the historical roots of Oligarchy, the road to colonialism and tyranny

U.S. Caesarean deliveries rise, teen birth rate down | US News | Reuters.com

U.S. Caesarean deliveries rise, teen birth rate down US News Reuters.com

It does not take a rocket scientist or a Hohns Hopkins to realize that 30% of delivering mothers do not need C-Section. It must be an embarasment to modern medicine to see statistics like these, a testiment to the unintended consequences of mis directed legislation, liability and greed. Where but the University Hospital can one obtain an honest answer and even then?
