VOA News - Army General Joins White House Staff as War Coordinator

I try to avoid political comments, but some are hard to resist. The appointment of yet another general to "take the fall," as it were, may be a good idea. The issue certainly has to be removed from the "lets pretend" civilians that the White House uses to fulfill the role that the Constitution clearly says belongs to the President. But then again, it you read my blog about turning the Pentagon into a nursing home or office building for retired generals you would know my point. Lute sounds like a good choice but for two words, "War" and "Czar." Better wording might be considered in these days of discredited cliches, like "slam dunk" or "shock and awe."
